VISITING GP PROGRAM

Umoona Tjutagku Health Service has visiting locums, Dr McDonald & Dr Guy, who have been have been part our service for a number of years. Their service is nothing short of being valued immensely.

With underlying Chronic Disease’s currently faced with aboriginal people, the doctors specifically target Aboriginal/ATSI Health Checks; Diabetes; heart disease; women’s/ men’s health & children’s’ health.

GP services are offered by appointments. If walk-ins they will be required to see the aboriginal health worker then on to the Registered who will oversee whether the client requires to dee the doctor. This then allows the Doctor to spend more time with clients that are already booked. If in urgent circumstances UTHS uses a triage system for urgent clients and children which will take first priority.
