GYM PROGRAM

 

The healthy for life gym program is designed to help clients get fit and become healthier. Clients are also educated on healthy eating and nutrition during and after these programs as healthy living is mostly healthy dieting than training.

The program is conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for men and Tuesdays and Thursdays for women. The gym facility is well equipped both weight gain and weight loss. Clients with diabetes can especially benefit from these programs as they are assisted by the clinic doctor who then refers them to the gym instructor for further assessments and exercises. There has been an increasing number of aboriginal clients participating in the program in their preparation for footy carnivals and other sporting events.

The gym is also open for staff during lunch hours and one hour after work. Staff are encouraged to train during these hours especially those who sit on chairs and work on computers during majority of work hours.
