DENTAL

At UTHSAC we provide a variety of dental services in collaboration with Dental SA. Services provided included general and emergency dental care to eligible people including;

 

  • Restorations
  • Extractions
  • Preventive care
  • Orel Hygiene Instructions

 

The aim is to provide oral health care to children and eligible adults who are clients of UTHSAC. The priority population for dental care under this program are members of the UTHAS community who have difficulty accessing dental care. The priority target group is Aboriginal adults, and non-aboriginal adults who are immediate family members of Aboriginal clients of UTHSAC, who are also holders of Health Care or Pensioner Concession cards, and Aboriginal children (including in particular pre-school children).

 

The dental clinic is operational for 10 sessions per year and runs from Monday to Friday each visit.

  • Fillings & x-rays
  • Root canal treatments
  • Bridges and crowns (some costs apply)
  • Mouth guards/splints
  • Orthodontics and more
