NGANGKARI SERVICES
The Ngangkari service is delivered throughout the country servicing many communities. UTHS provides this program only within Coober Pedy to clients in need of spiritual healing and cleansing of homes.
The healers aim to provide healing and promote the health and well-being of Anangu and non-Anangu people. They work hand-in-hand with western medical practitioners and health professionals to provide a holistic two-way care to their patients.
It is required that the clients see an Aboriginal Health Worker and Doctor to get a referral. This is to ensure that clients are getting best practice support on both levels. UTHSAC only uses existing and identified Nangkari’s
The program also provides:
- Individual consultations and treatments
- Cleansing of health care facilities, building and other areas
- Cleansing of private dwelling.
- The program is also available for hospitals and health care services in rural and urban areas.
