Associate Professor Wigg graduated in Medicine from Adelaide University in 1992. He obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 1999, as a specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He then completed a PhD at
Flinders University, studying hepatocyte culture in bio-artificial liver devices, in 2004.
